Josh Niccolai-Belfi
Born in the Bishop Arts district of Dallas, TX, Josh Niccolai-Belfi is an artist with more than thirty years of painting experience. An alumni of both W. E. Greiner and Booker T. Washington HSPVA, he also received multiple scholarships through the Meadows Museum at SMU. A voracious creator, his work has been exhibited in several galleries, and his photography published in numerous media forms.
Artist Statement
My work seeks to display a constant interplay between my diagnosed form of Autism, and my desire to communicate with the world at large. As a person who experiences synesthesia, with color I hear sound, and with sound I see movement. The application of color therefore supports movement in my work, as I explore the juxtaposition of color as the vehicle of motion. I strive to continuously innovate new and inventive solutions, through my devotion to exploring new processes.
